The P4H Leadership for Universal Health Coverage Programme

L4UHC is a capacity development programme which aims to move the UHC process forward in participating countries. The year-long programme is based on peer-to-peer exchange, facilitated by experienced coaches and resource persons who bring in leadership and change theory, as well as UHC-related technical expertise. P4H: social health protection network

P4H is a global platform for information exchange, capacity development, and coordination of technical support regarding social health protection and universal health coverage. The P4H initiative comprises Germany, France, Switzerland, Spain, the International Labour Organization, the World Health Organization, the World Bank and the African Development Bank. Read more


Global alliances for social protection

This programme promotes dialogue, mutual learning and the exchange of knowledge and experience on a variety of social protection topics. Countries in focus are emerging economies such as Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Mexico and South Africa, as well as other interested countries like Chile, Peru and the Philippines. Read more


Inclusive social protection

A new website shares the results of an applied research project on the inclusion of persons with disabilities in systems of social protection with a focus on Peru and Tanzania. The research consortium also developed guidelines for planning, implementing and evaluating inclusive social protection systems. Read more


BACKUP Health

BACKUP Health, co-financed by Swiss Development Cooperation, provides technical assistance to in-country stakeholders of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, with a focus on health systems strengthening and on improving governance and implementation of Global Fund grants. Adaptation to climate change in the health sector

This global programme supports selected countries in improving the resilience of their health systems against the effects of climate change and promotes global political dialogue on this issue. Read more
