Turning vaccines into vaccinations
While COVID-19 vaccines are becoming more readily available, turning vaccines into vaccinations remains difficult in many countries. Logistical challenges, overstretched health systems and scepticism about vaccines all hamper vaccination coverage. As part of its G7 Presidency in 2022, Germany is committed to supporting vaccine logistics and the implementation of vaccination campaigns. Through the German Last Mile Initiative, it is providing 850 million Euros in technical and financial support to increase COVID-19 vaccination coverage in countries around the world, including through bilateral projects.
